| Hidden Island Resort is nestled under the southwest tip of Miles Island and extremely well sheltered from all directions on beautiful Lake of the Woods. The 10 mile boat ride out to Hidden Island is where your experience begins. Winding through the islands of rock and trees, watching the wildlife, is a great way to start shedding the stress you leave behind while spending a few days with us. Our lodge is a log structure built in the 1940's and is loaded with character. One can only imagine the sharing (mealing and stories) that has occurred with those log walls over the years. | Black Island is an American Plan and Housekeeping resort tucked away in the islands of Lake of the Woods, six miles north of Morson, Ontario. The island is 32 acres with hiking trails and a large sand beach. We have five cottages that will accommodate two to six comfortably. All the cottages are lakeside and have a wonderful view. To ensure your comfort, our boats are new 18-foot Lund Outfitters with 40 h.p. motors, flat carpeted floor, padded pedestal seats, depth finder, bow-mount trolling motor and live-well. Hearty home-cooked meals are prepared with care and served family style in the main lodge. | Red Wing Lodge was homesteaded in 1964 and we take great pride in our friendly service, clean cottages, and the comfort of our guests. We have ten cottages and a personal atmosphere. Our main lodge provides a beautiful view of Lake of the Woods. We have a licensed bar (guests only) and serve home cooked meals. A pool table provides some relaxation on rainy days and satellite TV keeps us current on weather, news, and sports. The store, located in the main lodge, offers licenses, tackle, maps, ice cream, pop and candy. We offer boat and motor rentals, gas, electricity at the docks and camping facilities. |
